PhotoLab Output Manager

Storefront.com PhotoLab Output Manager allows operators to manage and direct production jobs within the PhotoLab Server workflow to leading minilabs and output devices.  PhotoLab Output Manager is a production subsystem that operates in conjunction with PhotoLab Terminal and PhotoLab Server.  It can support multiple output devices and allows operators to create and manage user-defined output channels.

Output Channel functions buffer and prioritize pending output jobs by common attributes, waiting for the output device to be properly loaded and ready. Using Output Manager, operators can tell specific Output Channels to print, directing the buffered job to a specific device.

  • Output Manager allows production staff to:
    • Manage - Manage your production workflow, outputs, and devices.
    • Output - Send orders to minilabs, Windows printers, CDs, DVDs, and other output channels.
    • Sort - Automatically sorts images and orders by common width and surface values.
    • Control - Lets operators specify which Output Channels to send to which devices.
    • Replay - Output Jobs can be sorted, reviewed, and reprinted with ease.
    • Define - Allows staff to create Output Channels and define their associated properties.
    • Connect - Add new output devices like minilabs, printers, CD and DVD burners, and uploaders.
    • Track - Monitor your production times, devices, bottlenecks and quantities.
    • Prioritize - Drag and drop orders in the list to change their priority or production scheduling.
    • Reject - Orders can be rejected from the output buffer, and are sent back to the order queue.
    • Correct - Images can still be corrected, even when they are in the output queue.
    • Cancel - Orders and order items can be cancelled. Partial cancellations are fully supported.
    • Aggregate - Output channels direct orders with similar properties into specific production queues.
    • Reroute - Output Channels can be rerouted to alternative devices or production facilities.
